Responsible Recycling

The R2 Practices establish requirements that an organisation must meet in order to handle electronic waste responsibly.  The topics covered in the R2 Practices include the proper management of environmental and OH&S (Occupational Health and Safety) issues using an EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) management system, proper selection and management of downstream vendors, use of generally-accepted data destruction practices, safe storage practices, a functioning security program and demonstration of financial responsibility.

One of the requirements in the R2 Practices is that the recycler must obtain a certification from an Accredited Certification Body.  A copy of our certificate is available upon request.

ISO 9001 Accredited

The ISO 9000 family of quality management systems standards is designed to help organisations ensure that they meet the needs of customers and other stakeholders while meeting statutory and regulatory requirements related to a product or service.  ISO 9000 deals with the fundamentals of quality management systems, including the seven quality management principles upon which the family of standards is based; Customer Focus, Leadership, Engagement of people, Process Approach, Improvement, Evidence-based decision making and Relationship management.

ISO 9001 deals with the requirements that organizations wishing to meet the standard must fulfil.

ISO 14001 Accredited

ISO 14000 is a family of standards related to environmental management that exists to help organisations minimise how their operations negatively affect the environment, comply with applicable laws, regulations, and other environmentally oriented requirements, and continually improve in the above.

ISO 14001 are an integral part of the European Union’s Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS).

ISO 18001 Accredited

The Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series, (officially BS OHSAS 18001) is an internationally applied British Standard for occupational health and safety management systems.  It exists to help organisations put in place demonstrably sound occupational health and safety performance.

T11 Waste Exemption

T11 Waste Exemption

T11 repairing or refurbishing waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) allows Phoenix Cellular to repair, refurbish or dismantle various types of WEEE so that the whole WEEE item or any dismantled parts can be reused for their original purpose or dismantled parts can be recovered.

We are registered and assessed by the Environmental Agency.  A copy of our certificate is available upon request.
